Jared Pike and Katie Tesh took over the air waves in June 2012 and quickly became a hit with listeners and ratings. They have become well known for Jared and Katie’s War of the Roses, Forgive & Forget, Local Talent Tuesday’s and much more. Not to mention, sharing everything about their lives from the good to the bad keeping their audience engaged and entertained. They are joined on air by their producer Matt, , and Jason Goodman. They can be heard weekdays from 6 – 10am.

Jared

Jared Pike is the host of the syndicated morning show, Jared and Katie in the Morning. A North Carolina resident since the third grade, Jared attended GTCC, BYU-I and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Jared began his career in 2007 as an on-air producer booking guests like Presidents Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Bill Clinton, as well as Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and Marco Rubio. His reach extended into the sports world, featuring icons such as Vince Carter and Chris Paul.

Jared became of the host of Jared and Katie in the Morning in 2012 The show is now syndicated in multiple markets, including Savannah, GA, and Myrtle Beach, SC, and has been named Morning Show of the Year by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters in 2017, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

Outside of the studio, Jared is an member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served a two-year mission in South Africa. Jared is a big sports fan and loves Washington Commanders and the Carolina Tar Heels. Jared loves being a dad and cheering on his 3 kids in theater, sports and education!

Katie

Katie was born in Washington, D.C. and was raised in a farmhouse near Amish country (yes, she can milk a cow). She perfected her barefoot bluegrass twirl at Appalachian State while earning her degree in Public Relations and then stumbled into radio via an internship in Charlotte. Katie has been bringing humor, music knowledge, and embarrassing – yet relatable- life experiences to 1075KZL since 2005.

After meeting her husband Ben in 2012 at a bar (keepin’ it classy!) Katie and Ben married in 2014 on a sprawling farm (a nod to her Near-Amish upbringing) and then welcomed daughter Nora (2015), and son Henry (2016) into the world, with Olive the Chocolate Lab completing the family!

Equal parts foodie and Anthropologie addict, Katie lives for mahjong, travel, good wine, and throwing dinner parties her Instagram can’t handle. She proudly supports her local library, frequents the post office with her hand-written thank you notes and can’t live without carrying around her old-school style planner. Oh….and don’t even get her started on her latest obsession: watching live bird cams all over the internet!

Jason

Jason Goodman proudly has a “limited filter” so you are never left wondering what he is thinking! He has several odd theories that he claims comes from the “Goodman Institute” and talks about the “popsicle theory” and the “oven theory” that confuses people, even himself most of the time. Jason has a wife, Carol, 3 kids, Ruthie, Landon and Everly, and a VERY well trained Bulldog named Oden, all living in Kernersville, NC. Growing up in Rhode Island, naturally Jason is RUDE but he is endearing!!! He is a huge New England Patriots fan. Due to his short stature and being a Patriots fan, he is also lovingly referred to as “The Littlest Patriot”. He attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA (his accent makes him say that weird) before eventually moving to the Piedmont Triad. Jason has an odd talent of being able to recognize and identify songs in record time from all years of music…seriously, even as old as Frankie Vallie! He has a passion for Botox, grilling, cornhole, warm weather, cornhole, outdoor cookouts, casinos, traveling out of the country, cornhole, food from all cultures, and doing projects at and around his home. Oh, and did we mention he likes cornhole? Jason is as competitive as they come and will fight tooth and nail for what and who he loves and is passionate about.

Matt

Matt began his broadcast career at High Point University, a small liberal arts university in North Carolina that has been described as “Disney World on Steroids”. After stumbling into the college radio station late one night, Matt and his friends became the hosts of “The Tuesday Night Juke” which was the most popular show on the station among Matt’s small group of friends and fraternity brothers.

While at High Point, Matt became a party animal. He consumed enough alcohol; his major should have been Mixology.
Matt started working with Jared and Katie in the Morning in April of 2014. Putting his Master’s Degree to good use, Matt has since gotten a Brazilian wax, posed nude as Kim Kardashian and seen another man completely naked. His family, loving mother, and wonderful wife Hannah are so proud.

Matt loves working in radio, but his career does not stop there. Matt teaches communication and podcasting at HPU, he DJs weddings and events, and considers himself a “Big Foodie” on social media reviewing the best BBQ sandwiches in the state! Matt loves to travel with his wife, who is a travel agent, and his son Wyatt who is 5. All-inclusive resorts? For sure! Disney World? You betcha! The beach? Tell him when!

When he is not traveling or working, you can find Matt coaching his son’s baseball team, relaxing on the couch, or watching football!
